It provides a habitat for various aquatic species, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds. The park also features a series of seasonal and permanent wetlands, which attract an abundance of wildlife.

The park has well-maintained tracks that provide access to different parts of the park, and guided game drives offer the chance to see animals in their natural habitat.

Hiking and Nature Walks: Lake Mburo National Park offers guided nature walks and hiking trails, which provide an opportunity to explore the park on foot. The walks are a chance to discover the park's diverse flora, smaller wildlife species, and enjoy scenic viewpoints.

Horseback Safaris: Lake Mburo National Park is one of the few parks in Uganda where visitors can enjoy horseback safaris. Riding on horseback provides a unique and quiet way to observe wildlife while exploring the park's beautiful landscapes.
